It's now been a whole year since AnimalArts opened their doors to the world, and what a response we've had, already over 2900 members! We've been flooded with amazing art which we feel should be shown to the world at large, so once a month the staff at AnimalArts will choose the images they feel are brilliant examples of their genre to showcase to the public, and hopefully we can raise the awareness of these amazing people.
So here we have the twelth feature. Congratulations to all. We appreciate every upload!

Wow! I fell in love with this as soon as I saw it! The detail, the tones, the composition, everything!! It's completely PERFECT
You can tell how much the artist loves drawing with all the little details in the piece such as the reflection on the floor. The details in the eyes are just fantastic too!

Another drawing I adore, the colours here are perfect, as is the composition with the tail coming round, he looks so fluffy too, I feel like I could reach over and stroke him!

Take great details and use of depth, add excellent colours and a very cute bunny and you have an amazing photo ready to stun. A fairly new dA member, but what an entrance to make!
A great image showing not only a good subject, but also several features which enhances the cuteness (head tilt and floppy ears).
B/W image in all its glory, great details, mood and use of focus.

I love underwater images. And this is a classic example of a unique scene captured with great skill.
I love the detail in this one. Its a clasic example of how persistance can lead to amazing detail. Full view is a must.
A great emotional piece with supurb use of contrast.
I love macro pieces, and this shows how little known aspects of smaller creatures can be captured with pin-point accuracy.
Another example of stunning detail creating an amazingly realistic image. Again, full view!

I really love this image. The medium is so unique, and the scene captured is powerful and compelling. Great work!
Keep up the good work guys!
DD May 9th 2015
Hold on... what???
So I logged in this morning to see that this photo:
Has been given a DD!! I honestly never thought I'd get one of those, so I am truly stunned. Thank you to anyone who suggested and to Kaz-D (https://www.deviantart.com/kaz-d) for featuring it! I'm a very happy guy this morning!
As many of you have seen I'm not as active here as I once was, but hopefully that's starting to change as I come back, and hopefully more to come in the very near future. Thanks to everyone who's stuck with me for my rather extended hiatus :) .
Where am I?
Hi everyone,
First off I'd like to confirm that I'm still here, and am still out taking photos. Apologies that I'm not active on here at all recently. I've been very busy with various things over the past few months, and really haven't had time to get on here and respond to anything. This does not mean I'm leaving though! I will try to get back on here a lot more in the next few days, and should have new uploads up soon. I currently have over 1000 comments and nearly 700 deviations to look at, so please bear with me as I catch up!
Many more up-to-date pieces can be found on my Facebook page here: www.facebook.com/lbraileyphotography
Or on
Please help me in a decision!
Hi everyone,
Hope you're all well, and again apologies for the lack of activity on here recently. I'm just reaching the end of the year though, so I should be free soon!
This is just a quick post to ask a favour from you all. As you all know, I entered (after much cajoling) the Marwell Wildlife Photographic competition last year, and was lucky enough to win one of the categories. This years contest has just been announced, and whilst I still have a long time before deadline day, I'm really struggling working out which five pieces to submit. I have already had suggestions for http://www.lawriebrailey.co.uk/Pages/OnTheHunt.aspx and http://www
Update
Is is just me or do I have a lot of journals called 'update'?
Hi everyone.. just to let you know a few things and to keep you updated on the situation a bit. Well the 300mm lens is back with me. I sent it off for repair, and Nikon managed to get it back to be in about a week and a half which wasn't bad at all. As you can see it's already out and in use again along with the 1.4 teleconverter and AF-S 105mm VR macro lens that I finally decided to add to my permanent kit bag.
As for Marwell news, Irina (female Snow Leopard) gave birth on Sunday 21st to three beautiful cubs. All is going well, and plans are to have them inoculated and ready for
